It was a gorgeous day in Tucson today. Warm, sunny, and perfect to start our garden. Now, we don't have a lot of space, so there was a lot of hemming and hawing about what we had room to plant. Container plants can be difficult here, unless you're one of those people who can remember to water something twice a day when it's 110 out.
I am not one of those people.
So, in the ground it is. Let's see - we definitely want tomatoes. And we definitely want the tomatoes that worked out for us so well last year, so 8 Early Girls go into the cart. Rich wants eggplants, so two of those are our new friends, along with a packet of cucumber seeds. My aunt donated some squash seeds; spaghetti squash and yellow crookneck, two of my favorites.
